Shakespeare's Macbeth in performance

Macbeth is the shortest tragedy written by Shakespeare. The play remains a strong favourite with audiences and readers alike. Macbeth’s transformation from loyal subject to ruthless killer and regicide is wonderfully developed in blank verse of immense power and beauty. Supernatural forces and his wife’s ambitions prompt Macbeth’s actions. Classes will address the narrative progress of the play. This course will encourage you to enjoy speaking the language aloud, with confidence. This is a 10-session courses and must be taken with W410Pm51 in Week 4.
