This course explores alternative approaches to coaching and diverse contexts where coaching skills and theory can be applied. It is designed for coaches, other professionals using coaching techniques at work, and anyone interested in the principles of coaching in any setting. We will engage with key learning theories, examining connections with related disciplines (mentoring, leadership, teaching, play and creativity). We will also explore the innovative use of coaching strategies within the arts, in work with children, and in community engagement. Lastly, we consider coaching as a strategy for reflection and how it can enrich various professional, creative, and social practices.
