College accommodation

You will have the unique opportunity to live in a Cambridge College steeped in history. Each College is different in character, but all offer a warm welcome and the opportunity to meet fellow learners from across the globe.

The College rooms are lived in by University students during the academic year, so are not hotel standard. Rooms do not have air conditioning due to their historic nature. You can look forward to an authentic Cambridge experience.

You can book accommodation between 12 July and 8 August. Outside of these dates, you may be able to book a room at Madingley Hall or through University Rooms

Bedroom types

Single en suite bedroom: a bedroom with bath or shower in the room
Single shared bathroom bedroom: a bedroom with shared bathroom facilities for 4-5 students
Twin bedroom: a bedroom with two single beds
Double bedroom: a bedroom with one double bed

All Colleges provide bed linen, pillows, a quilt and a limited number of towels. All rooms also have Wi-Fi and tea and coffee making facilities.

You will need to bring toiletries, travel adaptors and a hairdryer (if required). College laundry facilities will be available.

Accommodation fees

The accommodation fee includes your room, breakfast and evening meals, unless otherwise stated. Places in all Colleges are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis once you have been accepted to the programme. You can request, in advance, a room next to someone you know. There is the option to share a twin/double room with a partner, family member or friend.

Accommodation allocation

Colleges try to meet specific room requests and additional requirements, but this may not always be possible. Please note that room sizes may vary considerably.

Unfortunately we are unable to confirm specific room allocations prior to arrival, nor are the Colleges. We kindly ask you not to contact the Colleges directly.
